Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince earns nominations at the MTV Movie Awards

Harry Potter actors have received nominations for their work in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

These include:

• Best Villian: Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)
• Best Female Performance: Emma Watson (Hermione Granger)
• Best Male Performance: Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)
• Global Superstar: Daniel Radcliffe

Also, Half-Blood Prince has been nominated for best movie:

• Best Movie: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, directed by David Yates

Tom Felton is very grateful for his nomination.  He said:

"It's a massive honour, especially given that it's a fan vote. That makes it quite touching. And it's classic for me, because for almost a decade, kids have been running onto set and hugging Daniel [Radcliffe] and shaking Emma [Watson]'s hand. I try and be as polite as I can, and I never seem to get anywhere with them. Finally, I'm in a category that celebrates that fact!"

In addition, actors known in the Potter world as Cedric Diggory and Bellatrix Lestrange earned nominations of their own.

• Robert Pattinson: nominated for Best Kiss, Best Male Performance (for his role as Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga: New Moon), and Global Superstar
• Helena Bonham Carter: nominated for Best Villain (for her role as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland)
